I’m very excited about my newest venture – FlixyMom.com.

It’s probably no surprise to Barbara Marr fans, that I enjoy a movie or two myself, so I recently joined forces with some parents and have created a new website dedicated to reviewing films from a family perspective.

Not only do we tell other parents if we enjoyed the movie, but how our own children reacted. Additionally, we talk about the rating – is it appropriate, not appropriate? A movie might be rated PG-13, but do you really want to take your 13-year old? Will the sexual content, language, or violence be too much for your comfort?

Occasionally, we will review adult movies as well. Because let’s face it, we parents deserve a little grown-up time outside of Disney and Pixar faire. Right?

So far we’ve reviewed some fun ones: Kung Fu Panda 2, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Big Miracle, and more. And next week we will be posting a group review of The Lorax!
